Custom web development services for the jobs templates can’t do

I offer custom web development services for businesses and agencies that have outgrown templates and page builders. Portals, quote tools, dashboards and integrations, built from scratch with clean, documented code that you own outright.

The tools behind the work

Sound familiar?

When the template runs out, the workarounds begin

Most businesses do not need custom code on day one. You need it the moment the business starts bending around the website instead of the other way round.

01

The page builder hit its ceiling

You need a customer login, a quote calculator or a booking rule the plugin market does not sell. So you stack three plugins that half fit, the site slows down, and every update becomes a gamble with your enquiries.

02

Staff retype data between systems

Orders live in one tool, customers in another and invoices in a spreadsheet. Someone copies records across by hand every day. It costs hours, it creates errors, and nobody can see the whole picture at once.

03

A half-finished build nobody owns

The last developer vanished mid-project and left undocumented code behind. You are paying for hosting on something that does not work, and every new freelancer quotes to start again because nobody can tell what is salvageable.

What I build

Custom web development services, front to back

Full stack web development services: front end, back end, database and deployment, handled by one developer. Most projects combine two or three of these, which is why one person on the whole stack keeps them simple.

Custom website development

Websites written for your brief rather than squeezed into a theme. Lean code, a layout system that holds on every screen, and an editing setup your team can actually use.

Web apps and portals

Custom web application development for the tools your business runs on: client portals, member areas, internal dashboards and admin screens with proper roles, permissions and audit trails.

Booking and quote tools

Calculators, multi-step quote forms and booking flows that follow your real pricing rules, check availability, take payment and drop a clean record into your CRM.

Custom themes and plugins

When WordPress is the right base but no plugin does the job, I write one. Bespoke plugins and child themes that survive core updates and do one thing well.

APIs and integrations

PHP, JavaScript and REST APIs that connect your website to the CRM, payment provider, accounting tool or GoHighLevel account, so data moves once and stays in sync.

Rescue of abandoned builds

I pick up other people’s code, audit it, and tell you honestly what is worth keeping. Then I finish, fix or rebuild it, with documentation the next developer can follow.

Included as standard

What every build ships with

Whatever the size of the project, these come with my custom web development services. They are the difference between code that works on launch day and code you can still live with next year.

A written scope

Features, screens and integrations agreed in writing before any code is written, with a fixed price attached.

Version-controlled code

Everything in a Git repository from the first commit, so every change is tracked and nothing is lost.

Staging before live

You review and test on a private staging copy, and nothing reaches your live site until you approve it.

Responsive front end

Checked at real phone, tablet and desktop widths, with accessible markup and forms that work by keyboard.

Security basics done

Validated inputs, escaped output, sensible permissions and protected logins, built in rather than added after a problem.

Speed and SEO foundations

Lean assets, caching, clean headings, schema and sitemaps, so the build is fast and can be indexed properly.

Handover documentation

Notes on how the system fits together, how to deploy it and where the settings live, written in plain English.

Full code ownership

The repository, the database and every account sit in your name. No lock-in and no licence held back.

How it works

From brief to launch, in four steps

A clear, written path so you always know what is being built, what it costs and when you will see it.

01
Written scope & price

Scoping call

We talk through what the system needs to do, who uses it and what it connects to. I ask the awkward questions early, then send a written scope, a fixed price and a dated milestone plan.

02
Clickable prototype

Plan and prototype

Before building everything, I map the data, the screens and the user journeys. For larger builds you click through a working prototype first, so changes cost minutes instead of days.

03
Staging milestones

Build and review

I build in milestones on a private staging site. You see real progress at each one, give feedback on working software, and nothing is a surprise when the full system comes together.

04
Code, docs, walkthrough

Launch and handover

I deploy to your hosting, run a full test sweep on live, and hand over the repository, documentation and a walkthrough video. Ongoing support is there if you want it, never forced.

Packages & pricing

Clear prices for custom work

My custom web development services are priced from a written scope, so you know the number before anything starts. These are the three ways clients usually begin.

FAQ

Custom web development services: your questions

The questions business owners and agencies ask before they commission custom work.

Something not on the list? Bring it to the call — twenty minutes, nothing to sign.

It depends on what the system has to do. A custom-built business website starts from $550. Web applications, portals, quote tools and integrations are quoted after a scoping call, because the price follows the number of screens, user roles and connections. You get a written scope and a fixed price before any work starts, and smaller fixes or extensions can be done at $25/hour.

A website build typically takes 8–12 working days once the content and scope are agreed. Web applications vary more, so after the scoping call I send a milestone plan with dates for each stage. You review working software on a staging site at every milestone, which keeps the timeline honest and means you never wait until the end to see progress.

Every project includes a written scope, version-controlled code, a private staging site for review, a responsive front end, basic security hardening, speed and SEO foundations, and plain-English handover documentation. On full stack builds that covers the front end, back end, database and deployment. Integrations with your CRM, payment provider or other tools are listed in the scope so nothing is assumed.

If your needs are mainly pages, a blog and enquiry forms, WordPress is usually the better and cheaper choice. Custom code makes sense when you need logins, complex pricing rules, dashboards or integrations no plugin handles well. Often the answer is both: WordPress for the marketing site, with a custom plugin or application doing the specialised work. I will tell you honestly which fits on the scoping call.

You do. The Git repository, the database, the hosting and every third-party account are set up in your name, and the code is handed over in full with documentation. There is no licence held back and no lock-in, so you can bring in another developer, extend it in-house or keep working with me. Agencies receive the same full handover under their own brand.

Yes. After launch I fix anything that does not work as scoped, and you get a walkthrough video and notes so your team can manage day-to-day changes. For ongoing work such as new features, updates or monitoring, I am available hourly at $25/hour or on a retainer. Support is optional; the documentation means you are never dependent on me.

It starts with a scoping call, then a written scope and fixed price, a prototype for larger builds, milestone reviews on staging, and a tested launch with full handover. Yes, I regularly take over abandoned builds. I begin with a written code audit, tell you what is worth keeping, and then finish, fix or rebuild it. I reply to every enquiry within 24 hours.
