Terms of Service
How work is scoped, priced, delivered and owned.
Last updated: March 22, 2026
These terms set out how work is scoped, priced, delivered and owned when you engage Saleem Akhter. They apply alongside the written scope for your project; where the two differ, the project scope wins.
Scope and quotes
Every project starts with a written scope: what is included, what is not, and a fixed price. Nothing begins until you have agreed that document. A quote is valid for 30 days.
Prices shown on this site are starting figures for the scope described. They are not an offer to perform unspecified work at that price — a project with more in it costs more, and you are told the number before it is done, never after.
Changes to an agreed scope
Anything outside the agreed scope is a change request. Change requests are quoted separately and only proceed once you approve them in writing. Small adjustments during a build — copy edits, colour tweaks, swapping an image — are not charged as changes.
Your responsibilities
A project depends on things only you can supply:
- Content, images and brand assets, or a clear instruction to proceed without them.
- Access to the domain, hosting and any third-party accounts the build touches.
- Feedback within a reasonable time. Long silences move the delivery date.
- Confirmation that any content you supply is yours to use.
Payment
Unless the scope says otherwise: a deposit confirms the slot and begins work, and the balance is due on completion, before the final files or access are handed over. Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance.
Deposits cover work already reserved and scheduled and are non-refundable once a project has started. If you cancel before work begins, the deposit is returned in full.
Timelines
Every scope carries an estimated delivery date, given in good faith from the work involved. If a date is ever at risk you hear it as soon as it is known, with a revised plan. Delays caused by late content, late feedback or third-party approvals move the date accordingly.
Ownership and licensing
On final payment, the custom work produced for your project is yours: the design, the code written for you, and the content you supplied.
Third-party components keep their own licences. Themes, plugins, fonts, stock imagery and platform subscriptions are licensed to you by their vendors, and any renewal is your cost unless the scope says otherwise.
Unless you ask otherwise in writing, the finished work may be shown as a portfolio piece. Say the word and it stays private.
Support after launch
Every project includes a support window stated in its scope, covering fixes to work delivered. It does not cover new features, third-party breakages or changes you make yourself. After that window, support is available on a care plan or hourly.
Confidentiality
Anything you share about your business is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to anyone else. NDAs are signed on request without negotiation. White-label work is covered by the same rule: the end client is never contacted and is never told who built the project.
Liability
Work is delivered with reasonable skill and care. Liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees paid for that project. Loss of profit, loss of data and other indirect losses are excluded. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending an engagement
Either side may end an engagement in writing. You pay for work completed up to that point; anything already delivered and paid for stays yours. Access and files are handed over rather than withheld.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and disputes fall to its courts, unless a signed agreement for your project states otherwise.
